     1. According to the National Newspaper of Argentina on August 8, Argentina took the initiative to suspend the export of poultry products after the first outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza in February 2023, and has culled 2.2 million poultry so far. After extinguishing a series of large-scale farms and backyard breeding of highly pathogenic avian influenza outbreaks, the National Agri-Food Hygiene and Quality Administration has officially submitted an application to the World Organization for Animal Health on August 7, and declared the restoration of highly pathogenic avian influenza free status. The Afghan side sent a working group to China in July to carry out consultations on resuming poultry exports to China.

     2. According to S&P Global news on August 8, data from the Brazilian Ministry of Industry and Trade show that in the first seven months of this year, Brazil exported 72.47 million tons of soybeans, an increase of 19.7%. Among them, 50.4 million tons were exported to China, a record high, accounting for 69.5% of Brazil's soybean exports. The main reason for the increase in exports to China is that Brazilian soybeans are on average $20-60 per ton cheaper than U.S. soybeans compared to previous years.

     3. According to Pakistan Dawn news on August 6, the General Administration of Customs of China has re-registered the export qualification of 279 Pakistani aquatic products enterprises, and the export qualification registration of these enterprises will expire at the end of this month. The zero tariff of the China-Pakistan Free Trade Agreement has successfully helped Pakistani fish products enter the Chinese market, and the export volume is also growing. By the end of last year, Pakistan's exports of aquatic products to China reached 167 million US dollars, an increase of 41 percent year-on-year. At present, the two sides will also discuss further expanding the export list of aquatic products. Pakistani aquatic products can be transported to China by road in only 10 days, which not only saves transportation time but also guarantees product quality.
